2:34 AM 8/30/2011 CA Senator Ted Gaines (R-Roseville) and various other victim groups in support have now introduced the "Parole Reform Act of 2011" to the California Legislature in Sacramento. This bill will require the State Parole Board to return to the practice of denying parole for term-to-life prisoners based solely on the static case factors of the offense committed. This means the efforts toward rehabilitation exhibited by the prisoner will recieve little to no consideration! This "Parole Reform Act" must be stopped! This bill is reportedly being fast-tracked thru the CA Legitslature so it may be voted on during the current session. NO TIME TO WASTE! Contact your CA Senator of choice, particularly those in the Democratic Party, and make it clear to them that they must say "NO!" to the "Parole Reform Act of 2011"... This bill if passed allows the Parole Board to consider the original crime as a basis for denial of parole. The Media continues to disregard or actively oppose the release of Term-to-Life prisoners in discussions about early release. 2:01 AM 7/15/2011 California prison officials, the state's media, and vitually every state legislator has thus far ignored the term-to-life prisoners in any converstation relating to the federally mandated need to reduce the state's prison population, even though they have (for years) been forensically determined to pose no threat to public safety.
